The Process

The First Visit

This is free (if distance is reasonable). I bring my portfolio of work for you to look at.

If you feel encouraged and want to go further I will take you through my simple questionnaire. We can talk about the garden you have and the one you want. And, importantly, your budget.

The Survey

If you decide to proceed to the design stage I will accurately measure the plot and note all aspects of the site, then go home and draw up my findings. A copy of this survey is yours.

The Concept

This is the design of your new garden. It’s a plan, usually with perspective drawings of certain aspects or features. It includes hard landscape (construction) and planting themes.

I will present this to you and we will discuss it.

Let’s assume you love the design and you want the garden.

The Planting Plan

I can do a full planting plan, construction drawings and an annual maintenance plan.

That’s it. You can stop here and organise construction yourself.

Or I will do it for you.

The Result

I will get quotes for the landscaping work and find the best nurseries to supply the specified plants. I will supervise the work, order the plants and help with the planting.

And I’ll make sure you’re delighted with the result.

If you would like to talk about your garden, and are curious about how you, too, can have a life changing experience, please ring.

"Nigel's design was not too fussy, simple yet elegant. He filled us with confidence from the first time we met him. He has managed to turn an eyesore into something we can't take our eyes off."
